Our design process starts from the walls of your space. We draw a scale 3d model of your project balancing cabinets with careful attention to functionality and visual appeal. In doing so, you get to see the design before its built.

03 // HOW WE WORK
CabSuite parametric design software

Designed in our own software

Every project is drawn up in our own shop design software. It lets us work out box sizes, reveal widths, and hardware clearances to the tenth of a millimetre — before a single cut is made.

Cut clean, the first time

Our CNC runs separate roughing and finishing passes on every part. It's slower than a single-pass approach, but the parts come off the machine cleaner and more accurate.

We do all our finishing in house: whether we are spraying in our booth or hand applying oil.

For Homeowners

From a single bathroom vanity to a full kitchen and whole-home cabinet package, we work directly with you from first sketch through to installation. Our 3D renderings offer you a clear picture of what your project will look like - an invaluable tool that allows you to make changes before any wood is cut.

For Builders & Designers

We work closely with builders and interior designers on residential and commercial projects. Bring us your drawings or specs and we'll turn them around accurately and on schedule. Full disclosure on any subcontracting — we keep you informed at every step.

Custom Pieces

Beyond cabinetry, we build custom tables, shelving, signs, and one-off pieces in solid wood or sheet goods. If you can sketch it, we can build it — obscure sizes and unusual design elements are welcome here.

3D Design & Rendering

Every project gets drawn up in full before a single cut is made. We produce photo-realistic 3D renderings so you can see exactly what you're getting — colours, materials, proportions — and make changes while it's still easy to do so.

Sustainable Materials

We use sheet goods made with no-formaldehyde glues, low-VOC and HAPs-free finishes, and sustainably harvested solid wood wherever possible. Better for the environment, and better for the air quality in your home.

Built to Stay

A well-built kitchen shouldn't need replacing in decades. We use quality hardware — hinges and drawer slides that offer a lifetime year warranty — and construction methods that hold up to daily use. Our work is our best advertisment.
